Globaltrans IFRS net profit jumps by 69% in January–June
MOSCOW, Aug 29 (PRIME) -- The net profit of Russian rail cargo operator Globaltrans jumped by 69% on the year to 20.9 billion rubles in January–June, as calculated under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), the company said in a statement on Tuesday.
Revenue increased by 7% on the year to 52 billion rubles in the period, while adjusted revenue gained only 2% to 43.3 billion rubles given the stable cargo traffic and good average pricing.
Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) went down 6% to 25.4 billion rubles mainly because of higher inflationary pressure, the company said.
Globaltrans also said that its dividend payouts remain suspended.
